“Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it.” Norman Maclean.

‘A Thread Runs Through It’ references the importance of the rivers and landscapes that weave our communities and lives together. . . . It is where we find our inspiration.

The conference workshops include traditional, historical and innovative fiber practices. The instructors feature eleven local Montana talent and six Nationally known and loved fiber artists. The Vendor Hall provides opportunities to explore and purchase all of your fiber related needs.

There are seventeen instructors and thirty-seven workshops to choose from, and yes, you will have to choose. Several public events will welcome the community to experience a bit of the fiber world.

We are especially honored to partner with the Montana Museum of Arts & Culture (https://www.umt.edu/montana-museum/) for the Bateman Collection Exhibit, including a special private evening reception for conference attendees.

The conference will be on the University of Montana Campus in Missoula, Montana at the University Center. On campus housing in a dorm will be available at registration.

The Missoula Weavers Guild and the Big Sky Fiber Arts Guild are looking forward to having you here in Western Montana.
